Winter Weather Calls for the WaterHog Plus™

Are your business entryways ready for the winter weather? Snow, slush, dirt, salt – they all can make a mess of your business. Wet floors are also a slip hazard for your customers and employees.  According to National Safety Council Injury Facts, compensation and medical costs associated with employee slip and fall accidents is approximately $70 billion annually.

The good news is that having the right floor mat program in place can help to reduce slips, trips, and falls. Huebsch often recommends using the WaterHog Plus™ to stop dirt and water at the door. Here are a few of the reasons why.

Clean Floors

The WaterHog Plus™ scrapes dirt and moisture from shoes and traps it below shoe level to prevent the tracking of it through your business. The unique water dam border keeps moisture off your floors, holding up to 1.5 gallons of water per square yard.

Safe Floors

The WaterHog Plus™ is a heavy rigid mat that will always lay flat with beveled edges that provide a safe transition from floor to mat. It is certified high-traction by the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI).

Environmentally Friendly Floors

The PET (polyethylene terephthalate) fabric in the WaterHog Plus™ is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic from beverage bottles.

What does that mean for you?

Jeff Blum, Route Service Manager in our Wisconsin office, has seen the customer benefits to using the WaterHog Plus™.

“Our customers really appreciate this mat because it holds a significant amount of water,” stated Blum. “The WaterHog Plus™ also works great for medical environments because the floor mats are resistant to bunching with wheelchair and walker traffic.”

Dan Gregor, Sales and Service Manager of our Minnesota office, simplifies why Huebsch recommends the WaterHog Plus™.

“The WaterHog Plus™ mat is simply the best mat for all entrances,” stated Gregor.

If you ask around about this floor mat, you may not get a lot of answers. The WaterHog Plus™ is NOT carried by the national floor mat service chains. But Huebsch is your WaterHog Plus™ expert.

Tim Benjamin and Mike Vaudreuil, our NFSI Certified Walkway Auditors, are experts in floor mat safety with a combined 50 years in the industry.
